Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Troop Camp with Core Staff

Want to share summer camp with your Girl Scout Troop? Then this is definitely for you!

Troop camping with core staff is an experience for the whole troop. We will supply activities, supplies, and food for your troop. This is a camping experience with staff run activities for Girl Scout Brownie and Girl Scout Junior troops.

This summer you have a choice of two themes, Geocaching and Incredible Insects. In geocaching, we will explore Sycamore Valley for hidden treasures. Girls will get to use GPS systems to find their location. Camp NaWaKwa will provide the setting for the Incredible Insect session. Explore camp for a fun session to learn about insects. Swimming will be available at both camps, along with other camp activities. Troops must provide their own transportation.

Leadership

Each troop provides its own leadership through parents, leaders, and other family members. All adults must be registered Girl Scouts. A minimum of two adults must be in camp at all times. At least one must be 21 years of age; others may be 18 or older. Troops must meet adult to girl ratio per Safety-Wise

Troop camping

During your stay camp staff will provide activities and meals throughout the day and evening. The leaders’ responsibility will consist of supervising the girls at various activities, escorting them to the different places in camp, and providing programming for a small amount of down time. This is a troop experience.

Leader pre-camp meeting dates

An adult from each troop will be required to attend a pre-camp meeting on May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Indianapolis service center. During this meeting you will receive a camp manual, cover camp procedures and policies, and receive information that will help prepare your troop for their camp experience.

Troop camping with core staff fees (per person, per session)

Camper fee... $80
Adult fee... $15

Camper fee includes T-shirt, camp patch, and two try-its or badges. All adults will receive a T-shirt and camp patch.
Full payment is due at time of registration
